I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and while the surgery itself went well, the experience afterward was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. The office was given the correct pharmacy information, yet my prescriptions were sent to a location TWO HOURS AWAY. This was not a minor inconvenience—it left me without the pain medication I was prescribed after having all four wisdom teeth surgically removed. I went THREE DAYS without the pain relief I was supposed to have while trying to get this issue resolved. It wasn’t until the office finally confirmed where the prescription had been sent that they realized it had been sent to the wrong location. The prescription then had to be reversed, and only afterward was everything finally sent to the correct pharmacy. I find this especially concerning because postoperative pain management should be one of the most basic and important parts of aftercare following four wisdom teeth extractions. Patients should not have to spend days in unnecessary pain because a prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. The surgery itself went well, but the failure to correctly send my prescriptions and the amount of time it took to fix the mistake seriously overshadowed the positive aspects of the experience. I expected much better communication, attention to detail, and follow-through from a medical/dental office. Mistakes happen, but this was a significant mistake that directly affected my recovery and caused unnecessary pain and frustration. It’s been 2 weeks post op and the feeling in my tongue still hasn’t recovered. I also cannot open my mouth fully. I strongly hope the office improves its prescription and pharmacy verification process because no patient recovering from oral surgery should have to go through this.

My Dr. recommended IV sedation with 2 ext. upper and lower- I’ve been in pain for two weeks. Hoping this Afro American could and would help. He not only goes against my Dr. referral instructions but also didn’t make me aware of his new instructions. My wisdom teeth have both grown out and in towards the nerves. I need an IV sedation and instead of making me aware of that before hand- I called in to find out he changed up the sedation method. 3 red flags. Definitely won’t get my business or referrals. Thanks Black man- you weren’t anything I expected you to be. No sense in being intentional about ethnicity and doctoring. On top of that they expressed my insurance doesn’t charge for consultation-they still charged me. I was referred and my dr had taken X-rays. The new appointment I made with another oral surgeon asked that we send over the X-rays via email so I won’t get charged again. I was played. Unprofessional and uncaring. Greedy. Smh
